This easy craft is creative and resourceful!  Kids can make their own mini wipe boards that they can decorate and use for notes, messages, or anything else they can think of.

Materials

  • Clear plastic protector pages
  • Thin cardboard or poster board, 8 ½” x 11”
  • White paper, 4 ½” x 5”
  • A glue stick and clear tape
  • Paper scraps and small stickers
  • Yarn
  • Dry-erase markers
  • 2” strip of magnetic tape

Instructions

  1. Place the piece of paper in the middle of the cardboard, leaving a 2” margin around the edge of the cardboard. Glue the paper in place
  2. Place the paper scraps and stickers along the exposed margins of the cardboard. When you have a design you like, glue the collage items into place. This should leave a large blank space in the middle with a decorative border along the edges
  3. Place the cardboard inside a clear page protector and use clear tape to seal the open edge
  4. Turn the album page lengthwise and string yarn through the binder holes on this side of the page. This will make it easier to hang the wipe board
  5. Cut the magnetic tape strip in half. Place one piece on the board and the other on the dry-erase marker. Attach the marker to the top of the board using the magnetic tape
