As the summer heat fades away and we welcome the cool, crisp air of fall, it’s the perfect time to head outside to explore and interact with the environment.
A great way to discover the wonders of the new season is with a fall scavenger hunt! Whether it’s in the schoolyard, the local park or the surrounding neighborhood, students will have a chance to enjoy the weather as they hunt for a list of fall-themed items.
To get started:
- Download and print the fall scavenger hunt checklist. We’ve also created a blank checklist template for you to add your own items!
- Divide students into groups of two or three, and give each group a checklist and a brown paper bag in which to collect their items.
- Send them off into the area to find each item, and have them check off each item as they collect them.
- The first group to collect each item wins!
