The annual Hour of Code is one month away! Held in December to celebrate Computer Science Education Week, the Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to introduce students to the basics of coding.
Why computer science?
Not only does it help nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity, it sets a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path.
And, here’s the good news: Anyone can organize an Hour of Code! The activities are self-guided, and there are tutorials available for every age and experience-level, from kindergarten up. If you’re interested in teaching one Hour of Code in your program, check out this how-to guide for after school educators.
